Why the Work Mattered

Purpose and Operating Need

Project scope and individual work packages are presented separately; project totals are not additive to their component values.

Engineering Approach

Engineering Approach

Coordinated construction of the electrical control room around existing panels to separate them from the vinegar-drumming environment. Scope included concrete curb and CMU walls, sealed penetrations, door framing, LED lighting, guard rails and cleanup, plus a 115V exhaust fan, gravity backdraft damper, motorized louver with TFB120 actuator, breaker, conduit, wiring and fan/louver interlocks.

Outcome & Engineering Context

Outcome and Context

The workstream includes the electrical control-room protection project and drainage, erosion-control and site-planning scopes.

Workstream Results & Impact

Reduced electrical-component exposure to VOCs by enclosing the drumming electrical area in a dedicated control room.

Improved ventilation control through interlocked exhaust-fan and motorized-louver operation.

Developed operating and logistics improvements, including the feasibility of relocating drumming and using pipeline, pumping and flowmeter-based filling automation.

Measures & Operating Detail

Engineering scope and design basis

Workstream covering environmental compliance and recovery systems across its named projects, with project-level engineering scope, capital values and operating context.

Reduced exposure of electrical components to VOCs by isolating the drumming electrical area within a dedicated control room; Improved area ventilation control through interlocked exhaust and motorized louver operation; Documented operational and logistics improvement options, including feasibility of relocating drumming operations to the warehouse and automating barrel filling.

Workstream Cost: 5695 K.

  • Project Ownership

    Full lifecycle project ownership

    Project Leadership

Coordinated electrical-room protection and ventilation work and developed separate drainage, erosion-control and site-planning scopes.

Owned the full project lifecycle: capital planning and prioritization, need definition, feasibility and scope development, engineering and AFE justification, procurement and vendor coordination, construction sequencing and field oversight, commissioning, turnover, and post-startup support. Connected operating requirements with technical scope, funding decisions, execution readiness, and the needs of operations and maintenance.
