The Operating Context

Operating Context

Manual tank measurement created consistency and safety concerns. Pressure-based instrumentation offered a repeatable measurement approach, but field interfaces and operating practices still had to be defined.

Coordinated the instrumentation scope, installation requirements and contractor interfaces for 12 pressure-measurement units. Measurement standardization connected procurement decisions with safer access, reliable readings and a consistent operating basis.

Technical scope and recorded applications

Industrial Automation, Controls and OT Networks

Controls ownership connected PLC, HMI, VFD, remote-I/O and SCADA requirements with process behavior. OT work included a dedicated fiber backbone, managed switching, segmentation, redundant paths, UPS support, network drawings, device configuration and cutover validation. Instrumentation and alarm behavior were coordinated with operating and maintenance response.

Instrumentation and Tank Measurement

Tank measurement work combined pressure or level instruments with field verification, mounting, access, wiring and calibration. Standardized requirements and supplier alignment supported repeatable installation and procurement. Alarm and display requirements connected the measurement with decisions made by operators.
