Why the Work Mattered

Purpose and Operating Need

Combining Line 2 and the full 480V project into one AFE risked pushing the total above the immediate project allocation, which could jeopardize approval.

Engineering scope and design basis

Separated current Line 2 electrical costs from future-expansion provisions and developed a phased approach intended to preserve a lower-cost path for later growth.

Improved capital approval strategy, measured by a 480V project quote range, 25 percent of first-phase capacity supporting Line 2, 75 percent staged for future bottling upgrades, and a quoted electrical value, by separating immediate Line 2 needs from future electrical infrastructure scope.

  • Project Ownership

    Full lifecycle project ownership

Owned the full project lifecycle: capital planning and prioritization, need definition, feasibility and scope development, engineering and AFE justification, procurement and vendor coordination, construction sequencing and field oversight, commissioning, turnover, and post-startup support. Connected operating requirements with technical scope, funding decisions, execution readiness, and the needs of operations and maintenance.

Project ownership and delivery context

Owned the full project lifecycle: capital planning and prioritization, need definition, feasibility and scope development, engineering and AFE justification, procurement and vendor coordination, construction sequencing and field oversight, commissioning, turnover, and post-startup support. Connected operating requirements with technical scope, funding decisions, execution readiness, and the needs of operations and maintenance.

Developed the 480/277 V distribution strategy, including 1,000 A infrastructure and readiness for 2,000 A service. Conduit banks, pull boxes, grounding and transformer and switchgear pads were coordinated with site-development work. RFQs, bid comparisons and long-range load planning connected the physical design with funding and construction sequence.
