Line 2 Pasteurizer Upgrades

Owned the full lifecycle of this project, connecting capital planning, engineering, delivery and operating readiness. Pasteurization depends on the relationship between flow, holding time and temperature. The work addressed that relationship across the hot-water system, instrumentation and automation so that product treatment and line operation could be managed together.

The Operating Context

Operating Context

Pasteurization depends on the relationship between flow, holding time and temperature. The work addressed that relationship across the hot-water system, instrumentation and automation so that product treatment and line operation could be managed together.

Reviewed hold-tube length, process flow and thermal-control requirements, translated those requirements into the upgrade scope, and coordinated production, quality and utility interfaces. The delivery approach connected the design basis with controls verification and operating readiness.

Purpose & Engineering Scope

Purpose and Scope

Business Purpose

Restore regulatory compliance and thermal stability with a rebuilt hot water set and automation upgrades.

Technical Scope

Bottling & Packaging Systems, CIP Automation

The Work & Its Outcomes

Work and Outcomes

Engineering Approach

  • Reviewed hold-tube length, flow and thermal-control requirements.
  • Defined hot-water, instrumentation and control-system improvements.
  • Coordinated production, quality and utility interfaces.

Results, Targets & Design Context

  • The engineering study compared an 80-ft existing hold tube with a 171-ft required length at a 115 GPM design rate.
  • Restoration of compliance and thermal stability was the project objective; final acceptance is not stated.
